With the spirit of explorers in search of the undiscovered, we have found Sym-Pulse to be a superior trade off between function-and-adaptability and complexity-and-cost.
The Sym-Pulse technology is a combination of several known techniques and an "original" definition of the unit pulse shape.
(The better function is a combination of spectral efficiency, interference resistance and tolerance of transmission delay spread.
The superior adaptability comes from equal suitability to radio and wire transmission, and from flexibility in tailoring parameters to conditions of use.
Our working modles demonstrate this advantage!)
Sym-Pulse Wave Advantage. Like many of our predecessors, we have been much hampered by frequency-dependent delay variation with cable. We resolved this difficulty by developing a
pulse shape that did not use the portion of the spectrum where that delay occurs. The Sym-Pulse shape provides a baseband spectrum with zero dc and with reduced energy at low frequencies for
both wire and radio. Radio application requires that the spectrum have a high degree of suppression of the side lobes above the first null. "Sym-Pulse Wave does it all!"
With our first PCI Sym-Pulse implementation, we have produced a full function circuit board, SP-101-525 which includes all the peripheral circuits necessary to pass binary data
packets over a 5.25 GHz radio link. This changeable "modular board design" is an essential "enabling piece" in assembling complex radio systems.
The Sym-Pulse technology is an evolutionary advance from a substantial history of radio data modem technology. That background paper may be accessed via the “Retrospect...” button to the left.
This paper describes successes and difficulties of many of the common modulations used in a variety of radio systems.
To see why we are excited about the possibilities of this product, please follow the links on this page. We suggest going through "OUR GOALS" to take the "Overview Tour" first.
Once there, look at the "Marketing Targets for a Better Technology". Others might view our first public showing of our DEMONSTRATOR.
To view this first product sample, you merely tap the Enabling Products button in the upper left. Here you will cast your eyes over the SP101-525, a
working NII Band stand alone model. (Access to the data sheet is also there!) If you wish to see more, tapping the Sym-Pulse LOGO at the top left will suddenly "Internally Transport" (IT)
you to the MicTechS.com site to see where the pieces were built!
We would like to hear your thoughts! To do so... You merely hit the "CONTACT US" button above. And, thanks for stopping by!
